In this typographic journey, we explore a world of unwritten rules. From the guy insisting on sipping a late-night Aperol Spritz, a choice that raises eyebrows in Italy, to the one who carries on a public conversation on their phone with the speaker on (Don’t be that guy)—a behavior that leads to collective eye-rolls, we all have our unique unwritten rules that govern our lives. But then, there are those unwritten rules that are like secret handshakes for decent hu-mans—so crucial that they should be the international language of basic decency, no transla-tion needed! But where do we draw the line? Which rules are so crucial that we should all adhere to them, and which rules are so absurd that only the snobbish few care?
In this magazine, we’ll embark on a deep dive into the realm of unwritten rules. Each is-sue, we’ll uncover a plethora of these unspoken norms, accompanied by one fundamental unwritten rule that, no matter who you are or what you’re doing, you must follow. This unwritten rule, which is now not so unwritten anymore, becomes an integral part of our typographic journey.
